We’re excited to be part of the UW – Madison Physics Fair this year on Friday, February 15 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. It’s an annual event hosted by the Physics Department featuring hands-on activities for all ages, regularly scheduled Wonders of Physics shows, and this year, Chasing the Ghost Particle: From the South Pole to the Edge of the Universe.
The Physics Fair is free and all under one roof: Chamberlin Hall, UW-Madison Campus, 1150 University Avenue, Madison.
At noon and 3:00 pm, Ghost Particle, a captivating 30-minute show about the IceCube Neutrino Observatory, will show in 2241 Chamberlin. Tickets are not required, and seating is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
We’ll also have an activity station where kids and adults can try their hand at identifying particles as seen by IceCube. We’ve had the particle identification quiz at the Physics Fair before and it’s had some updates since then. Stop by to see the new and improved quiz.
