The IceCube Collaboration spring 2014 meeting begins today in Banff, Canada. The meeting is hosted by IceCube collaborator and University of Alberta Physics Professor Darren Grant.
During the five-day meeting, collaborators from around the world will gather to discuss data analysis, detector operations, and possible future extensions of the IceCube Neutrino Observatory.
With the IceCube experiment housed at the South Pole and researchers spread across eleven countries, biannual collaboration meetings provide an opportunity for faculty, postdocs, scientists, and graduate students to interact face-to-face.
The next meeting is scheduled for late September in Geneva, Switzerland.
