Still light outside after the sun has set? Well, it does take a while for the sunlight to completely diminish—the entire process takes weeks, going through several stages of twilight. But at some point, they will be left with only stars and auroras to light the winter skies. In the meantime, depending on a number of factors, including which direction you face, you can still capture clear and colorful photographs. Last week, IceCube’s winterovers were working inside and outside the IceCube Lab, shoveling snow and covering up the windows for the winter. The station’s windows get covered as well. A group of winterovers decided to combine a marathon viewing of all three Lord of the Rings while walking on treadmills, or exercising in some way. Not sure if enjoying soda and chips while reclining on a weight bench counts, but that’s on them.
